C. Platts' Sons® Smooth Lime Green Bone Large Stockman

C. Platts' Sons® Smooth Lime Green Bone Large Stockman

This brightly colored Large Stockman holds extra value, not just in its fit, finish and function, but also in its historic C. Platts' Sons® branding.

The root of Platts’ Sons Cutlery Company began with Charles Platts, a well-respected cutler who began his career as an apprentice in Sheffield, England. After immigrating to the United States to work in Connecticut, Charles left there to start his own cutlery company in Gowanda, N.Y.

The company’s early success allowed his sons to join him, and moved them to a larger, more modern manufacturing facility in Eldred, PA in 1897.

The company was known for the extremely high quality of their knives, which were branded for many jobber companies, including Case Brothers Cutlery.

The company’s assets were purchased by W.R. Case and Sons Cutlery Company in 1905, making their knives some of the most sought-after knife collectibles in today’s market.
